It was such a tremendous honor to host the sold out 26th Annual Trailblazers Award and Scholarship Dinner, and to accept the gavel, as incoming President of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association! Thank you for the  overwhelming support of the marquee event and the mission of the bar association. It was a joy to celebrate Trailblazer Honorees Greg Conyers, Michelle Crockett and Ronda Tate Truvillion, and to award scholarships to law school and high school students. A very special thank you to our sponsors, General Motors, Jackson Lewis, Honigman, Lewis & Munday, Dickinson Wright, Oakland County Bar Association, and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, whose generous contributions made the event possible. Thank you also to Hon. Terrance Keith, Hon. Adrian Spinks, special guest Hon. Eric Clay and our supporters, Association of Black Judges of Michigan, Wolverine Bar Association, Vanzetti Hamilton Bar Association, Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Miller Canfield, Dykema, Collins Einhorn Farrell, Foster Swift, Professor Dana Thompson and the University of Michigan Law School's Entrepreneurship Clinic and Zell Program, Second Ebenezer Church, Earlene Baggett-Hayes and Antoinette Raheem of The Law & Mediation Center and Offices, Justice Kurtis Wilder, Butzel Long, Plunkett Cooney, Legal Aid and Defender Association, State Bar of Michigan, Henry Ford Health System and all of the attendees who joined us in making the 2019 Trailblazers Dinner such a great success!

Yours in service,
